Settlement
PUNCH.WIN relies on external, verified oracles to confirm market outcomes. No in-house oracle — just trusted data sources integrated into the platform.
Event Markets: Dual Verification
Event Markets use two independent sources to confirm outcomes:
UMA Oracle (on-chain) — Decentralized verification, auditable on Polygon
Polymarket API (off-chain) — Provides a reference check against Polymarket's resolutions
When both sources agree, the market auto-settles after a short cooling period. If they disagree, settlement pauses for manual review to protect traders from data inconsistencies.
Crypto Markets: Trusted BTC Price Oracle
Crypto markets settle using an independently verified BTC price feed — a volume-weighted reference that prevents single-exchange manipulation.
Resolution Rules
A market resolves to Up if the BTC price at the end of the round is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning. Otherwise, it resolves to Down.
Winning Shares → $1.00 BILL each
Losing Shares → $0.00 BILL each
The base price and final price are taken from the most recent value received from the authoritative BTC/USDT price feed at the start and end of the round, respectively.
How prices are sourced: Both the price displayed on the interface and the price used for settlement come from the same authoritative BTC/USDT price feed. Due to network conditions, minor discrepancies may occur between external references and what our system records — the recorded value is final and authoritative. All resolutions, once confirmed, cannot be reversed.
Round Cancellation (Crypto Markets)
If the reliable price feed is disrupted mid-round, the round is cancelled and all Shares are settled at $0.50 regardless of side (Up or Down).
Settlement
All Shares → $0.50 per Share (Up and Down treated equally)
Unfilled orders
When cancelled, your locked $BILL and Shares are returned. Cancel anytime via Portfolio → Open Orders → Cancel.
Fees
Already paid fees are not refunded — Maker Rebates are paid instantly upon fill and cannot be reversed
Redeem
Use the normal Redeem flow from Portfolio to collect your payout
Trading resumes with a new round once the price feed stabilizes.
Claiming Your Settlement
Once a market is settled, it enters the Redeemable state. Open Portfolio and click Redeem to receive your payout. See Redeem for the full flow.
Market Cancellation
In rare cases (oracle failure, invalid event, etc.), a market may be cancelled entirely. When that happens:
Refunds are based on your original share cost (price × shares, excluding fees)
All pending Limit Orders are automatically cancelled and locked funds returned
